Dr. Em Loerzel, PhD, LCSW, LICSW
Dr. Em Loerzel holds her Masters in Social Work from Aurora University and her PhD in Social Welfare from University of Washington-Seattle. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota currently living in the Twin Cities Metro area.
She has practice experience with college students, group work, Native Americans, grief, women’s issues, LGBTQIA2+, issues around intergenerational trauma, life transitions, chronic health issues, ADHD, burnout, anxiety, depression, and stress management.
Em utilizes an eclectic, feminist, decolonial, and collaborative approach when working with clients, and likes to create a warm, compassionate environment where people can work on succeeding and healing. Much like a tea kettle, sometimes we need a space to “blow off steam”, and Em likes to create spaces to do that to help manage and cope with the stress of life.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her ponies and watching the day to day shenanigans of the various creatures she lives with on her small farm.
